Teachers can use the TFI test to accurately evaluate their students’ proficiency in French.

As an educator, you play a transformational role in the lives of young people the world over. As the world becomes one global village, students need to prove that they are international citizens, able to work in any location. And they often need to demonstrate multilingual capabilities. This is where the TFI test steps in, helping them certify their skill in French. TFI (Test de Français International) is a French language proficiency test for non-native speakers of French. It measures and certifies the French skills of people working in a professional context, from beginner to advanced levels.

Spoken by over 170 million people everyday, French is widely used in international and business communication. Students wanting to work in various countries, and aiming to demonstrate a skill in multiple languages, can use the reliable and valid  TFI certification to achieve their objectives.

As a teacher training your students to work in an international environment, you can insist on the TFI test as a graduation requirement, and have students certify their level of French. You can influence your institution to include the TFI test within your curriculum:

  • To place students in appropriate language courses by using TFI scores to evaluate proficiency,
  • To ensure that your students step out into the working world equipped to meet the demand of international companies for international skills,
  • To increase the international recognition and credibility of your institution, making a stronger case for students to join your university.
